Hello day 2!

We slept in a bunch, then headed out of the MGM. Let me tell you, if you didn't know it was EDC week before, you did now! The MGM lobby was packed and everyone was dressed in their tank tops, with keychains sporting their EDC gear. You know these people were ready for a party.

We took our last Vegas Lyft to the Airport and bye bye Vegas!

I've never flown on Virgin America Airlines. They recently got purchased by Alaska Air, so we book with them to get the points carried over. Their airplanes are nice! Cockpits are very modern, and they have tons of leg room space. Our flight attendants definitely seemed friendlier than some of the Hawaiian ones I've encountered. I'd definitely fly them again, and may even go as far as to choose them over Hawaiian.

We'll see how the merger goes though. Something has to give.

Enterprise Pick up

We rented with Enterprise, which is fine... Except their pickup shuttles drove by us multiple times. They're required to stop at the rental car shuttle stops. They did not. I assume it's because of the traffic and cutting across 3 lanes wasn't going to happen. I was fuming because of it. Also was fuming due to the heat.

Anyway, we were able to pickup the car. I overheard a man trying to pick up a car, only to find out he went to the wrong rental company and had to take a shuttle to the right one. I don't know how you do that, but apparently it can be done...

Hollywood - Airbnb

We opted for an Airbnb in Hollywood because it was close to everything. Biggest bonus if you're planning on staying in this area is the fact it does come with parking! It's a cute studio too in an older hotel-like building. It met all of our needs for the week, and was perfect in terms of convenience to all the things we wanted to do. While unassuming in the day time, it does get very noisy at night... Particularly in the latter half of the week. Why?

Well, my dear, there's a magic show! While we didn't see it, we could see the crowds of people eager to get in to the venue.

Koreatown - Snow Monster

After settling in headed over to Koreatown via Lyft. The wait at Quarters was going to be long, so we had to make sure we were on that list to get in.

I was feeling snacky, so we went to this place called Snow Monster. It had some bubble tea and ice cream macarons. I got pistachio macaron with cookies and cream ice cream. Tam got a strawberry lemonade. I thought it was too sweet.

This is one of those places that puts boba drinks in lightbulbs... Why? I don't know. Such an odd shape.

Koreatown - Quarters

Let me be clear that this place looked awesome because of this Buzzfeed video:

After waiting about 2 hours, we finally got seated. It isn't all you can eat here, so you have to choose a meat set. We chose the biggest one possible, since we had about 8 people dining together. The meat was good and so were the sides. I mean, it tasted like any other Korean BBQ... Though, their sides strayed from traditional stuff. They had kalbi in cheese(?) and kimchi fried rice, versus things like kalbi chim.

No complaints though, aside from the wait, it was good! Just also very loud.

Koreatown - Homibing

We took a short walk down the block to get to a Korean dessert place. They had a dessert similar to shave ice, with snow on it. We opted for a matcha flavored one, which had matcha sauce and mochi. While good, the milk tea one tasted much better. It had more flavors and textures, like a rice puff and kinako. It looks like they have other fruit based desserts, but I was way too full to consider it.

Dinner ended our day! We went home and rested for more fun tomorrow.
