Multnomah Falls and Vista House Crown Point
Most of the activities when I go on vacation involve eating... But there are times that don't!
Multnomah - Multnomah Falls
We took an hour drive out to Multnomah. It's one of Oregon's well-known waterfalls, and also a very popular tourist attraction. It's a "one road in, one road out" situation... And once we were on the one road, it took us a good 15-20 minutes just to reach the parking lot. Not to mention everyone needed to use the bathroom.
At one point in the drive, we were right next to the mountain rock... So to distract ourselves from the need to relieve ourselves, we began watching the spiders and ants on the wall.
The whole place felt and looked like Narnia, or at the very least, Studio Ghibli forests. There's a hike that continues on from the bridge, but we had other plans for the day. Tam did manage to get some cool drone shots, and tested, for the first time... Catching a drone with his hands.
Columbia River Highway - Vista Point at Crown Point
My brother loves this house. It was created by Samuel Lancaster, an assistant highway engineer during this highway's construction. He just really loved Crown Point and wanted to share the same awe he felt when he was there. You can read more about it here.
It's a 15 minute detour from Multnomah Falls, but it's definitely worth taking a look at.
Beaverton - Nike Employee Store
My brother's school has perks, like inviting alumni and their family to the Nike Employee Store. I signed up for passes before flying up so we could check it out! I didn't take many pictures of the inside, but I also am not keen on getting kicked out either. They have tons of the new stuff at 50% off... So yeah. I'm gonna buy some stuff. I also learned that Nike purchased Hurley, the surf brand, and sells their stuff! They only had stuff for men, as far as I saw, but still cool if you need that stuff.
I even bought myself new fly-knits! I'm an Adidas person, personally, but their dry-fit socks are pretty legit. I learned while here that we even saw a former LA Lakers player... But he wasn't anything big time, he just happened to be shopping when we were there.
